Specialized childhood apraxia care
Childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) is a motor-speech disorder that makes it difficult for a child to plan and coordinate the movements needed for speech.
Because CAS can look similar to other speech sound disorders, a formal evaluation by a licensed speech-language pathologist with specialized experience in motor-speech disorders is important. A comprehensive evaluation helps determine whether a child’s speech characteristics are consistent with CAS and identifies the most appropriate treatment approach for their individual needs.

Do you provide autism diagnosis or treatment?
Thrive does not diagnose or treat autism. We provide pediatric speech-language therapy, including communication support for children with autism when appropriate.
Is Medicaid accepted at Magnolia?

What does intensive therapy for CAS look like?
Our Intensive Motor Speech Therapy Program consists of:
- 12, 1-hour individual therapy sessions
- Completed over 3 weeks
- 4 sessions per week
- Followed by a 6-week break from therapy
- A progress check-in at 4 weeks and 6 weeks post-intensive
